Great job with this. I wonder how many readers truly look at social media to find a read. For example, IG was built as a picture platform and now reels are big. I feel the people looking at IG are looking for that form of stimulation, not a book or blog to read. Wouldn’t content creation work best on that type of platform ?

Totally. Finding a platform that fits your content style is really important. I think Instagram is best suited for reels and general picture/video content.

Hi, Hudson.

In Spanish, it was quite a lot long, so I split it in 2 articles. This is the first:

Oops, don't share on Facebook. They did not allow it. Called it spam. This has not happened since I was kicked off for telling folks to eat their lemons. lol I will get it around Hudson.

I've had similar issues on Facebook! They have no support contact, which is strange for such a large company. 🤷‍♂️

Great job on this, Hudson. You presented the info much better than analytics does. This kind of thing is invaluable to writers. I'll share it.

Appreciate you too. PS Shared this to Facebook and they took it down as spam. I have requested a reconsideration. The Stinkers.

Interesting--I had read that Facebook is dominated by old people. Maybe 30s is old? However, if you add up the last three age ranges, the total is about 24%, which is significant.

Totally. It's interesting how public opinion often differs from statistics. It's one reason why I like to go through this exercise at least once a year. 🙌

Thanks so much for this, Hudson. Some of the stats really surprised me and now I'm wondering if I'm sharing my writing in the best places.

You're welcome! I too was surprised looking at these numbers. I think it's always valuable to look at the numbers from to time. 🙂🙌

Great breakdown, Hudson! It’s wild how much platform dynamics shift each year. You mentioned Facebook still being a strong contender despite the ‘boomer’ rep—do you think organic reach is still viable there, or is it mostly a pay-to-play game now? Would love to hear your thoughts on where Facebook fits into a long-term audience-building strategy
